Hi There

My name is Vera Lightfoot, I am the Missions Director for Europe within

Victory Churches International. I belong to Carlisle Victory Church.

I am married and live in Carlisle, in the far North of England. We have four grown up children and twelve grandchildren. I am a fully qualified Nurse and Midwife plus teaching experience, and other practical skills.

My vision is to see the church grow and many come to know Jesus as Saviour and Lord. For them to be discipled into mature Christians who can in turn, go on to Church Plant bringing even more into a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Even more than this, my desire is to take the Word to far distant places of the Earth. “ To Preach, Teach and Mobilise “.

I have a passion burning in my heart to reach out to the Nations but in particular I am drawn to Africa. God planted that fire in me as a very small girl and it continues to burn and grow as each year passes.

“ Go into all the World and preach the Gospel and lo I AM with you always” this is our Great Commission. The last words spoken by Jesus before He went back to His Father.

My desire is to help anyone who feels the call of God on their life to work in any capacity in Mission work, to fulfil their calling and in so doing fulfil my own.

I have found that going on Mission not only matures one as a Christian but opens ones’ heart to the compassion of God for those who have so much less than we do.

Upcoming Missions Trips:

India – With Drs. George and Hazel Hill - November 17^th-December 1st, 2009 (Dates are still flexible at this point). This trip will begin with ministry during the 2009 India National Conference, and then include working in India’s slum schools and churches, helping Dr. Jeyaseelan reach 30,000 slum children this year.

Cost: around $3,000.00-$2,500.00 depending on flight costs

Rwanda – December, 2009

Cambodia, Burma, and Thailand – With Drs. George and Hazel Hill– February2-15^t^h, 2010

Cost: $2,500 depending on flight costs

Mexico (for Team Leaders) – January 2010

Cost: around $1000.00 depending on flight costs
